Patient was admitted to the Civil Hospital on 2nd. March, 1912. He is 54 years of age and is married with a large family. For the last 3 or 4 months he has been losing flesh and is now very emaciated. He has a constant pain in the epigastrium which gets worse after food irrespective of the kind of food he takes. Sometimes he vomits after food and at other times this occurs independently of his feeding. The vomited matter is usually what- -ever he takes, no blood and no "coffee grounds".

Temperature is 990 with a reddish eruption out
There is a slight temperature since admission rising to 100° in the evening and dropping to normal in the morning. He vomits frequently and is losing ground. November 28th. There has been no fever since the 11th. A lapa-
-rotomy was performed and cancer of the stomach discovered. The
disease was found to be very extensive and inoperable. The
stomach was fixed, the carcinoma extended along the lesser
curvature to the cardiac end and the glands were all affected.
December 9th. Wound had completely healed and he left hospital
next day on six weeks leave. At his own home he was frequently
visited by the Government medical officer for Kowloon (Dr.Allan)
but he rapidly aank and died on January 27th. The cause of death being certified as carcinoma of the stomach.
